Not really an answer to your question: but I installed one of the Wilwood big front brake kits (don't remember the exact PN# for the kit , but I can look it up) on my 2010 GMC Yukon XL 2500 (old pattern 8 lug) - and they've been on there for about a year now. Not a lot of miles - because of the lockdowns and so forth.

Anyway - the install was pretty straightforward - I think the Wilwood kit is pretty good. Everything was pretty straightforward and fit right one. Probably my biggest complaint would be the routing of the braided stainless brake line - I had to do a little "custom" work to tie it up in a fashion that I thought would keep it from getting damaged.

The kit for the 6 lug trucks is probably pretty much the same thing as the 8 lug setup - so the install should be similar.

I have been meaning to do the rear brakes as well - just haven't gotten around to having the cash to do it.

The truck definitely brakes a lot better than it did with the original setup, I think the Wilwood pads are a bit "dusty" though (I've seen this mentioned other places as well) - I need to clean the wheels more often than I did with the original pads.

The whole brake system is different on the '21 T1 suvs than the '15 to '20 K2xx platform. I am not saying they wont work but I would be very suprised. I would wait for the tahoe PPV to become readily available and purchase the 6 piston calipers from GM that they will use on those.

Fronts will bolt on. I have a shop fabricating a bracket for the rear.
