With inspiration from JennaBear and others (Thank You!), I finally got around to upgrading my GMC OEM rims from the factory (pictured first below and I’m selling - curious what a fair price would be), to some American Racing gloss black milled 22x9 +30 offset AR916 rims. Also went with some 33x12.5R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers with a Rough Country 2 inch lift on the front (essentially the back remains technically 1/2 inch higher).

Loved how they turned out, and so far no rubbing (initially tried some Dropstars 654bm’s with a -25 offset, don’t do it, it is too wide, and I would be afraid going any wider than a +15 offset with this tire) and the ride is great and just as quiet as before. New specs are below...

-2016 Yukon XL SLT (Iridium Metallic)
-22x9 (+30 Offset) AR916 Gloss Black Milled Rims
-33x12.5R22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers
-Upgraded Factory Chrome Grill
-Upgraded to Denali Handles
-Upgraded to Denali Chrome Bumper
-Upgraded Tyger Chrome Roof Rack Molding Trim
-Upgraded Putco Chrome Back Door Molding Accents

Thanks all. :happy107: Anyone have an opinion on what price point I could sell the OEM rims at in the Houston area? I was seeing some threads state 1200 for all 4, but that was a while ago.

Help me undertand the offset issues you mention. I am thoroughly confused. You went with +30 but tried -25 but are afraid of anything wider then +15 ??
I want to add the same tires to my 2017 Z71 that is level. I would like to step up from factory 18" wheels to 20 or 22" as well. This whole offset thing and my confusion about it keep me paralysed in fear

Yeah, my initial choice for rims was a 22x10 Dropstar 654bm...thing looked sick as well on the Yukon, but because it was a -25 offset, it caused the wheel to be further away from the suspension and made the wheel stick out about 2 inches from the wheel well. Looked awesome, but it caused the turn radius of the wheel in the front (with a two inch level) to be too wide...so much in fact that the wheel did not turn all the way and touched the back inner-side of the wheel well and would have ripped up the well and the static foot bar. My only choices were to lift the Yukon up to 6 inches which would have cost like 1400 to 1800 additional dollars as it would call for a total suspension lift or, return the rims and go for a different model with a more narrow rim (went with 22x9) and a more positive offset that would cause the rim to fit a little closer to the suspension and allow the wheel to clear the wheel well while turning.

I owe a lot of great guidance to those here and the gents at Big Tex Off-Road in Kingwood as they helped me through my initial mistake. Essentially, they recommended a 9 inch (instead of 10) wide rim and an offset of +18 to +30 (since the factory rims are +45...so while this rim did come in at a +15 offset...it was to risky for me to try when my first one failed. So you might be able to fit a +15 offset with this tire, but I certainly would not go lower than that with the Nitto Ridge Grappler.
