2016 Yukon 5.3 4wd 173k miles

Bear with me as I am in no way knowledgeable when it comes to vehicles. My Yukon just had all spark plugs replaced, I do tow with it. About two weeks ago it does this thing when shifting from 2-3 where the rpm jumps high, vehicle lurches forward then temporarily looses power then is fine again. If I am going 20+ during this, let off gas before the jump, it’s fine and won’t do it again. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I’m concerned I might need a new transmission or hoping for just a flush and replacement of fluids would fix it.

I cannot personally assist you with your issue, but other members of this Forum much more knowledgeable than me in this area will chime in. @NickTransmissions may have some input regarding the next steps in troubleshooting.

2 to 3..clutch plates?..like slipping plates allow for the rev to increase
but with no real load on the drivetrain..

or the shift solenoid for 2-3 lagging?

but again if you're letting of the gas right before the shift..makes it sound gear(s) dependent..
