I recently bought a 2015 Yukon 5.3, previous owner had mentioned the brake pedal being stiff it’s not so bad to make it undriveable but definitely annoying. He had told me it was the power brake booster line he had bought the part and I replaced it but wasnt the issue. Before I throw money into it does anyone have an idea of what it could be?

Does that have a vacuum pump? According to Dr. AI:

A Tahoe vacuum pump is a crucial engine component, especially for the brake system, creating vacuum for power brakes, turbo control, and emissions systems, with a significant 2015-2018 recall related to decreased brake assist due to pump issues, often involving oil contamination, leading to harder pedals and longer stopping distances, requiring replacement with OEM or aftermarket parts to restore performance and safety

Does have a vacuum pump, I’m going to check vacuum pressure later today. If I see it’s weak then that’ll tell me what I need to know. Thanks for feedback!!
