I recently traded a 2024 Yukon for a 2025. I had/have the Brembo front brakes in both vehicles. In my 2024 the brakes were smooth, good pedal feel all the time. Like every other vehicle I’ve ever driven. In the 2025 I experience something different and I’m wondering if it’s normal or not for a 2025. I’ve currently got about 1500 miles on my 2025.
In my 2025, occasionally when I first put my foot onto the brake pedal and start to press it, it feels like pedal itself if shifting a bit and it makes a faint clicking sound. The pedal feel is then solid as I continue to apply the brakes for that cycle. It’s like something has slightly clicked into place. For a few minutes/pedal applications during the same drive, the pedal feel is solid and smooth. Eventually however it happens again during the same drive. This little surprise jitter feeling in the brake pedal is making me a bit crazy. I know the cause is not a shift or movement of the pedal cover, as I’ve tested this by driving without the pedal cover in place. It is a feeling that results from the brake pedal itself.
Any ideas appreciated. I’ll eventually ask the dealer to look at it when I go in for an oil change, but as I’ve learned from prior experience it is helpful if I can provide a bulletin number or similar to the service advisor when I check in. Thanks.
