Vacuum pump replacement 2015 Yukon

I recently had a guy replace my vacuum pump on my 2015 Yukon 5.3. First time he tried it leaked oil along with the 2nd & 3rd try. I got it back yesterday and it still leaks. It’s only drops of oil not a stream, I’ve lost about half a quart so far. Why is this? Has anyone had a similar problem or can tell me what it could be? As far as I’m aware guy didn’t use any sealant like rtv silicone.

Just heads up there is special coverage for they brake vacuum pump on 2015 to 2018 trucks.

I believe GM revised that revision and now they reprogram the brake module to work with the lower vacuum instead of replacing the pump. At this point I'd replace the pump too.

Look for a recall or Service Warranty Extension on GMC website. I had the same happen to me 2017 Tahoe last week, and it was the 3rd time. There is an issue with that vaccum pump and it needs to be replaced.

THIS!! And the coverage is still good even if you had a 3rd Party perform previous repairs. I had my garage mechanic do the first two, both within 4 years. My dealership argued that the coverage was void, buy I called GM on the spot and they said its covered no matter what for 10 years or 150,000miles from purchase date.

You may also experience Brake failure, which is what I experienced. Not fun.
