I noticed my driver high beam was out and I was using aftermarket HID bulbs/ballasts. I replaced the bulb, nothing. Replaced the bulb (with another new bulb) and a new ballast, nothing. Put the factory bulb back in, nothing. So, since the passenger high beam works, that eliminates the fuse. What would cause the high beam on just one side not to work?

Thanks!

Well I figured it out. Decided to pull the fuse and one side of the fuse was broken. I've never seen a 3 legged/two sided fuse that can partially fail. Replaced the fuse and voila.

Glad you got it sorted out. So you have HID bulbs in the high beam locations?

The factory HID ballasts draw a good bit of current when they initially turn on. The current settles down to approx. 7.5 amps after the HIDs warm up. I’d expect aftermarket ballasts to be similar.

With the high beams sharing that 10 amp fuse, you may have issues with it again if you’re using HIDs.
