Not true the shop that did my work took the chrome out to paint

Why would you have it painted? DO NOT ASK THE DEALER. They are like an outsourced person reading a script from India. Lol go to a place that does wraps on vehicles. Have it wrapped and the chrome is just a sticker peel away if you want it. And it’s easily repaired if it gets messed up. The painted will scratch and chip on top of chrome.

On my old '15 Yukon XL Denali I had the chrome strip on the power steps and chrome on the roof rails vinyl wrapped in gloss black. The wrap on the side steps held up great.
