2018 Tahoe

I have 2018 Tahoe with almost 60k. Been pretty solid other than minor issues.( brake trailor light error popping up which now finally stopped ) Changed all fluids trans axle/transmission at 45k. Biggest issue was it is RST which came with Brembo brakes on front and Borla exhaust. Very expensive to replace rotors and pads but other than that it's been solid. Was considering upgrading but I don't see much out there that seems to be free of issues Chevy/GM or otherwise. Glad I chose the 5.3 over 6.2, as no issues thus far. Think I'm sticking where I am as I see alot of complaints on newer Tahoe's, and I have mixed feelings about more things to breakdown in many hybrids.

Make sure you are doing oil every 3k and not the 5k receommended by GM. Also - feel free to upgrade to 5w-30

If you havent already - replace the torque converter with a quality unit. Add a catch can

Both 5.3 and 6.2 are great motors. The lifter issues all stem from oil starvation. The DI engines (any manufacturer) burn more oil so waiting until 5k for an oil change means you are going to probably be more than a quart low on oil by then.

Throw a Whipple on it like I did. It will keep you from wanting anything else!
