for the front fog lights, I just laid on my back on the floor. There's not enough room to use a creeper. I'm still trying to figure out the rear back up lights though

I did this the other night. The rear backup light exchange is mentioned in the owners manual, but it is a poor description.

The first step is removing a piece of plastic fascia/trim. It is a tall rectangular piece of plastic, just below the struts for the rear liftgate (to the inside of the actual taillight). The plastic has a rubber circle/gasket in the center. Pry this piece of plastic up from the top and bottom. There are three metal retaining clips that will release. Once that is removed, you will see two torx screws that hold the entire taillight assembly in place. After removing the torx screws, you can gently pry the entire taillight off. At that point, you will see the wiring to the reverse lights. Just twist and remove the reverse light holder and exchange the bulbs.

I swapped my fogs, license plate and reverse bulbs with VLEDS and high beams with 4k Osram bulbs from TRS. Happy with everything except the fogs and the high beams. They are just not that bright; good color though. I'm coming from a BMW X5 with some excellent lighting.

everything went well with the rear back up light swap... however, the little round rubber pieces apparently have a tab that broke off when I was prying the out. No big deal, since once I was done, they still stuck in place. The tail lights just slide back, so once you have the two screws out, just slide them straight back. There's some anti vibration slide posts that make this a little hard, and the bottom of the assembly slides in a groove, so keep them straight upright.

Fog lights are whiter than the factory headlight, and the back up lights are incredible.

Hope this helps,
Joel

Couple more pics after LED fogs:[

I just have just ordered these lights...expecting delivery early next week for my 2015 Yukon Denali, can you tell me where these plug and play or was anything else required for installation? how difficult were the fog lights to access and take out for replacement? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just ordered the Putco LED fog lights and expect delivery next week. Can anyone tell me whether they are plug and play or require any additional installation? Is the fog light assembly difficult to access to remove and replace the bulbs? Any info you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

They do come as a pair. Just order Qty 1. The beam is basically the same as it was - just 2 or 3 times brighter. All of the illumination is down low.

Sorry to re-verify, but I don't see anything on the Amazon page which indicates that there are 2 bulbs. Can you verify the listing is the same as when you bought (was the pair ~$57)?

Yeah its still the same. Just buy qty 1. That will get you (1) 2 pack.

You'll love them. Get the Philips 921 led backups as well!

Xenon projector low beams and 9005 high beams.

I'm thinking about buying a set of these Cree LED high beams and trying them out:

Did you end up getting a set of the 9005 LEDs?

Can't seem to get the LED bulb to go in. Does it just require one to be extra firm? Anyway, the bulbs look similar but not the same. Here's a picture. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416528195.681383.jpg

Any help would be appreciated.

The original bulb secures by inserting and screwing in. The replacement bulb lacks the tabs necessary to do that.

Whoa...that's not the same! Looks like they changed the bulbs for the 2015is. Can anyone else with an i confirm they used these?

Our 2015s (early) had 2 push clips on either side. No twist tabs. That's a different bulb! Sorry :(

At least amazon returns are a snap. You just need to figure out what number bulb that is and get the led version of it.

Makes me wonder what else is different....

Unannounced changes are painted roof antenna and now different fog lights (that I know of)

I have not yet because I don't use high beams enough.

Oh good. It's a different bulb, I'm not just inept! I have no idea how to go about identifying the bulb type.

I'll start the Amazon return process now.

Okay, the 2015i takes the psx26w type of bulb.
