Purchased a 2012 Tahoe from online auction, only paid $2000 for it, with 61000 miles after I picked it up. Ignition cylinder is missing. So I ordered replacement one online With remote. before installing, new cylinder screen would say service theft deterrent system. After I had guy come and program new keys and remotes, the icon and message theft deterrent has gone away. I could hear the fuel pump prime as Ignition turns on. But no start remove starter, checked, started still good, not sure, what else to look for there was a bunch of wiring in the center console that I removed as well as A Theft deterrent system for the vehicle, but I wired everything back to normal. Anybody ever run into this type of issue.

I have keys and remotes programmed, theft deterrent message and icon are gone. When turn on ignition you can hear what sounds like fuel pump prime and relays clicking on and off like It should start but doesn't. I bridge starter with key on and starter motor activates but it doesn't engage and start motor. So im assuming that the starter is not getting the signal to start.
This is where im stuck at. Can anybody help me here. Im sure its something easy I overlooked and really want this thing to start

$2000 is a great deal!

Check the starter relay socket in fuse box. See if you get juice from the ignition switch or not?

Check the main ground wires going from the battery to the frame/engine.
You can also take a set of jumper cables and hook both the positive and negative to the negative terminal on the battery, then run one on the other end to the frame, and the other to the engine for a quick ground test.

what happened to the one in the drivers footwell? did you remove it? upfitters were known to put a hidden switch under the floor cover so that people couldn't start it. the button had to be depressed with your foot. or shift it to drive (one or the other)
which is another thing to check, if the shifter is not indicating it is in park it won't start (check with a scanner) you can also try shifting to neutral.

That will be nice when you sort it out. I bought one with 80,000 miles on it and fixed it up, installed Escalade interior. Was a nice truck forus for 5 years or so. Sold it with 150,000. Loved the Dual Battery feature. Seems to me I had to clean up some wiring for all the Police features. It slso came with 4.11 axles which I liked a lot. For $2000 you can't buy the engine so you got a great deal. 4x4 or 2x4?

Finally got it running, was a faulty ignition module that came with the replacement ignition cylinder. Runs really good, engine feels strong and real good acceleration. Replaced air filter, oil change and added brake fluid .

Going to need to replace shocks especially up front and a/c is not really working, might be blower motor. Going to wrap the doors to match the body, getting unwanted attention from the black/white color scheme.
Looking to buy a rear seat and center console next.
I appreciate everybody's input here.
Out of all that wiring that I removed and repaired only thing is that my horn doesn't work
