2012 sub Sideview mirrors

Ok so I'm sifting through little things on this burb ltz.i need a new passenger side mirror, I noticed the driver side mirror has a sideways triangle blinker and a small picture of 2 cars, how does this work?
So to the point the passenger side will not fold. It also has a dot pattern mirror blinker. What should I look for in a replacement? Is the passenger supposed to be different?

I believe the "small picture of 2 cars" is your blind spot indicator. It lights up when there is a vehicle in your blind spot. As far as the folding mirror is concerned if you diagnose it to be the gears that are stripped there are aftermarket "gear repair kits" for sale. Don't think they're supposed to be different, you ought to check your owner's manual. I don't have SBZM in any of mine.

As for the motor not retracting or going out. A common failure over the years is the plastic gears breaking. We used to go to Gruven and pay about $100 for new gears and JB Weld them together and put internally grounded motors in so we could then listen how noisy they were for the next 8 years.

Then someone on here posted a link to some NEW mirror internal assemblies that are not only 1/3 the cost and hassle, they are quiet too. I've bought 9 so far and replaced 3 or 4 and am happy as a clam with them. Only had them for six months or so and if they break, it's cheap enough to grab another while I hem and haw over buying a whole new mirror.

These fit the wagons and trucks. Same one does both sides.

Thank you. I can find a new mirror replacement easy enough. Just would like to know if there is a difference? Doesn't really bug me if they are different

I have a set of rebuilt, power, folding mirrors, ready to go. If those Blindspot monitoring mirrors are still there on that LTZ, I would definitely be interested in them. I repair broken mirrors.
