Hi gang.
Newby here with a new truck and likley an old problem.
I'm tryng to install a ham radio in the 2011 Tahoe and it's so crowded in the engine compartment I'm having trouble finding a way to get the power cord from the battery to the cabin. Does anyone know of any access on the passenger side of the vehicle that is already grommeted that I could use? I've found one large access just to the left of the steering wheel but it's kinda close to the fuse box and i'm trynig to avoid running any radio gear near existing vehicle wiring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No but also look under the truck. Sometimes there's grommets under the seats. You may want to consider running a larger guage wire and installing a distribution block so you have a place to hook up future stuff like other radios, scanners, etc. Also what type of radio are you installing? Are you utilizing a remote head? Where will the radio be mounted?

Be sure and post pics when you're done, I may be installing a Yaesu FT7800 in mine. I'm also looking in to what factory parts I need for the factory dual battery system.

2011 tahoe - look under the dash next to the brake pedal, you find a fuse box remove cover and you can hook your radio to one of the hot term. (note this is were the trailer harndess goes.) Note: i have 8ga. wire on my an it feeds Yaesu 8800,scanner,strobe pack, with no problem. Second batt hook-up 1. batt. 2. two cables -run the hot cable to the distribution block buy your main batt is hook up. This is on my 2008 tahoe
