Recently purchased a '10 Tahoe with 33k miles. Upon taking to the dealer for some warranty service for non-functioning power fold mirrors, the dealer stated the previous owner apparently swapped the folding mirrors out for the non-fold style. Although I would assume it was to re-sell them prior to a lease return, and due to my Tahoe having the mirror fold buttons already in place, my question is:

If I purchase a set of replacement folding mirrors, are the puddle light and integrated turn signal functions automatically wired in to my existing harness for a seamless installation, or will I only be able to install mirrors with only the fold feature?

If it came from the factory with power fold, it's an easy swap for the non-power fold. I wouldn't think he would take it to the dealer for them to turn off those features.

I'd be willing to bet if you swap them out with power fold, everything will work perfectly.

I realize the power fold will work, but will the integrated signals, puddle lights, and possibly heated functions work as well?

Yes. Also, if they sold you that vehicle advertising that it had power-folding mirrors...you might want to see if they can help you out with obtaining some new ones.

It was a small dealer that purchased it at auction. I can buy a replacement set with all the additional features relatively cheap, but I just want to make sure the add'l. features would work on a new set prior to purchasing. thanks for the info!

If your car originally came with em and you still have the master switch for em then all mirror functions will work.

dmodem,

I believe they should work, as others have stated. If you would like, PM me the last 8-digits of your VIN and I can look into it further for you.

I look forward to your reply.

Too young here to do PMs, but the VIN is AR208036. If the Tahoe only originally had the fold feature, will the current wiring harness run puddle lights, integrated signals, heat (without any specific heat switch), etc.?
