Hey guys, I've got a 2009 Tahoe LT that I've been driving since 2020. Last month there was a snow storm and my wiper motor gave out on me. I forgot to turn them off and when I went to fire it up in the morning the wipers kicked on and got stuck halfway up the windshield. I pulled the Wiper motor off the assembly and went to get a new one. Checked the assembly to make sure it hadn't locked up. All seemed to be going well. Installed the assembly back into it's spot, hooked the 5 point connector to the motor, and tried to turn the wipers on. Nothing happened. I checked the fuses in the drivers side panel and under the hood. Everything has power there. I tested the Ground on the wire and it seems fine, but there appears to be no power coming from that 5 point to the wiper motor. Is there anyone here who may have any experience with the wiring under the hood? I took the car to my local mechanic and he told me it's too complex for him to work on.

Guess the guy never heard of AllDataDIY or a Bi-Directional scan tool! :(

Ok, I'm looking my 2009s wiring diagram online and you have a 15 amp fuse, called a CTSY Fuse on that panel at the end of the dash. That goes to the Body Control Module.

The motor has three wires going to the underhood fuse block that go to 2 relays, Wiper1 and Wiper2 PCB Relays. They are fused by #26 which is 25 amps, called FRT WPR. So maybe the relay(s) popped?

If it ain't them relays or fuses, find someone on here with a Tech-2 or get with someone who has that or a Snap-On Solus or something that can read BCM codes. You in Florida by chance?

that link I inserted says that if the relay goes bad the fuse box has to be replaced that it's not serviceable, not sure how true that is
That's one of the possibilities, shop manual calls if the X50A Fuse Block - Underhood.

Another item mentioned is the K9 Body Control Module.

I'm no car repairman. I've had no issues with this vehicle since I bought it. I'm 24 so pretty young and haven't taken much interest in this stuff. I'm stuck in MI during rain/snow with no wipers. I will attach some pics under the hood and the diagram im looking at for reference.

if it's not that 25amp fuse then you will need a diagnostic to see if it is the stalk switch, wiper motor or relay
