2008 Yukon GPS update

Firstly, thanks to everybody for all the info I have gathered from this forum, its been a wealth of info for the year we have owned our Yukon, anyway I did a search for GPS update info on this forum and cant find my answer, I am looking to update my current stock GM GPS unit in our Yukon.

anybody have any info we might find useful? GM wants 199 bucs for the discs which seem a bit steep, info on anything else I could do would be great, we are currently in version 3.00 I believe, and since I'm asking questions, is there any way to add bluetooth to the stock system we have? its just the regular system not the Bose.

Used disc on eBay or Craigslist... We don't discuss pirated or copied disc on here so I hope no one mentions it.

Bluetooth is built in to the VCIM (OnStar) so you would have to updTe the VCIM box it get Bluetooth. Search vcim on here and you'll see plenty of threads about it as well as part numbers

Thank you, my only worry about that was buying something out of date, how do I find out whats the most up tot date?

I also just found the thread about adding bluetooth, maybe I will give it a try, I'm not good with electrics, memories of fires etc so prefer to have this stuff done by somebody who has a clue!
