We are having trouble with sound cutting off completely in our 2022 GMC Yukon. Sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't - most recently, it was out for an entire week before it magically came back.

The dealer recommended replacing the amplifier after a software update didn't solve the problem. I am having trouble locating the correct part and location/steps to replace. If it's doable, I'd rather tackle it myself than pay over $1,000 for the dealer.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
1) Correct part?
Or
2) Where is the amp located? Is it under the center console?
3) Any youtube videos or other guides for accessing/replacing that anyone has seen?

Thanks for any help/knowledge you can provide.

Side note - we have been extremely frustrated with all the electrical problems with this vehicle. Many issues were repaired under warranty, but now that we're just past warranty we have had to replace the telematics module (onstar connection) and now this amp issue. Are others having a similar experience?

Did you get any resolution on this? I've dealt with something similar on my 2023 AT4 since not long after purchase. One of two things will happen. 1. The audio will be cut out repeatedly for several minutes. like 4-5 times a minute, but it always comes back on. usually it's about 1 second of lost audio. or 2. i will get into the car and start driving and then i'll realize there is zero sound at all. No radio, not even the sound from the turn signals. and I CANNOT for the life of me fix it no matter how many restarts of the infotainment system or shutting off my iphone or re-pairing of my iphone i do. The only thing that fixes it is turning the car off, getting out for a few seconds and then getting back in and restarting it. not exactly convenient while driving.
