405 HP, good body, some rough edges but nothing I can't handle. I'll need tires too. It gets delivered Tues. That 6.2 V8 is ******* strong. 6 speed is good but I need to tune it ;)

Nice grab. I'm jealous of that 6.2

We had rain all summer here in Alaska so maybe we will actually get some snow this winter.

Got her home! Funds need to recover so I can tackle the following.

- Tires and new TPMS as one is cutting out once in a while
- Alignment
- New rotors, pads
- Park brake is broken
- Oil change
- Rear main seal leak I think?
- One of the auto side mirrors might be broken
- New extra key and setup FOBs. I only got one key.
- Deep cleaning
- Floor mats, I don't have any that came with it
- Exhaust resonator delete
- Air filter
- Cabin filter
- Service front/rear diff
- Service xfer case.

AND I'M NOT TOUCHING THE EFFING TRANS BEFORE WINTER THIS YEAR!!!!

Oh and that 6.2 and 6 speed are a fantastic combo.

My guess is oil pan vs. rear main leak, I've seen more of those on the forum. Also for the mirror, I think a gear fails in them. See this post.

Mirrors work great!

My power rear hatch works, but it pops and jerks... Anyone seen this before?

Oh, got two FOBs to work. Remote start is neat.

I did an oil change today, if not just for an excuse to look at the underside. Nothing too bad but some findings.

First, she fits!

I found new o2 sensors. But the good that installed em was lazy or high and left the o2 wiring resting on the front driveshaft!! Wtf?!

A mouse chewed up the trans wire cover. Neat.

I've got an oil leak. Might be the pan. But!! The trans oil lines are wet and caked. Do trans oil lines leak on these things?

I'll be starting on a full brake job tomorrow. Rotors are warped and parking brake doesn't work.

Transmission Cooler Lines very commonly leak at the factory crimp location. Seems a bad design. I'm about to replace mine for thus reason.

Let us know what brakes you go with.

Good to know. I'll price out new lines vs a custom trans cooler like before.

All OEM acdelco brake parts. Raybestos were ok on my old Yukon. This time around I just want stock like operation.

Look into Centric E-coated rotors and Powerstop evolution carbon fiber/ceramic hybrid pads. I swear by this combo and if it fits into your budget I'd highly recommend it!

Thanks for the idea. I already had all stock parts shipped. Im keeping as close to OEM as possible if I decide to sell in a few years. Other than cam, tune and trans work ;)

Drivers front done. All rotors and pads are toast. The best part of having another car and a garage is that I can take my sweet ass time.

Corrosion. Anyone know how to get stock wheels properly refinished?

Call your local dealerships. There are usually mobile wheel repair operations tooling around that service them all. Same as paintless dent repair services...just need to media blast the poop outta them and get new chrome plating

My personal opinion... Ditch the 20's and go with a set of OEM 22's off the newest Yukon's. Would look killer!

I second this idea, the factory rims on the NNBS Denali's ain't the prettiest wheels GM produced. I also like the 22" GM optional wheels from this era truck: CK375 is the model I believe
