2008 yukon cats

im starting to hear a raddle from the cats, is there a way to try to clean them first.


2nd question will a used set work off a 08 tahoe/yukon. and not make a engine light.come on.

mine rattle but no engine light is on and dont smell like gas..


any help please

Rattle means the catalyst is broken inside and they're toast. No cleaning something that is physically broken. If you don't have emissions testing, you can hollow them out and have the rear sensors turned off. You can run used but you may not know of their condition nor how long they'll last.

Mine were just replaced with the Magnaflow Y-pipe and new cats.

Is there a company that makes the Y pipe without cats and with only 2 bungs that bolts in?

Previous owner booger welded a cat on the driver side and it's rattling and leaking.

I searched high and low and did not find one for the GMT800 or GMT900. Found them for the GMT400 though. And of course they can be custom made at any exhaust shop.

When did that guy get banned?
