We can speculate all day.

The OP needs to start taking careful notes of times when certain things happen. That will surely narrow it down. The PCM operates based on conditional inputs. Check the basic systems first (I.e starting, charging and engine.

Move up the line checking each system off one by one until you end up with the answer or near to it. The answer might turn up as rediculous or easily overlooked or uncommon. But getting to that kind of endpoint should be just as uncommon as well.

Again, check basics. Usually it's the simple stuff that people overlook because ultimately they think they know better. Now that I think about it has this vehicle been into any repair shop(s) for estimates? Im thinking if all else was done above...you may need to go this route.

You can take a can of air duster turn it upside-down to cool the relays down and see if it starts. This will help to see if it a heat issue or a connection issue.

I would be swapping relays with known new spares. That should give you more confidence in narrowing things down. Temperature soaking can help narrow things down but it might turn out to be intermittent event. Your choice. It depends on how much time you want to waste on this.

I don’t know if anyone has had this issue, but my Tahoe runs for like 20 minutes shuts off, I remove the key off the ignition wait for a couple of minutes or I remove the relays re-insert them and the truck fires up like nothing and then repeats shuts off and I do the exact same thing over and over. I have checked the wire harness from the fuse/relay box no wires broken. I’m at a loss don’t know what else to do has anyone experienced this issue in the past?

How long have you own this vehicle? Do you know the maintenance history? How many miles are on the suv?

I suspect the fuel pump heats up then shutdown the suv. Fuel pumps don't ever show codes.

I read one of the posts that something gets hot then shuts down, are you referring to the fuses or relays?

Did you have to pull the relays that last time?
If it shuts down, and you pull/reinsert the relays, do you still have to wait to start it?

I wonder if the fuse box is bad, since you are getting the signal to crank if your lights dim.. ?

I didn’t pull them I waited inside the truck, took about three or four minutes started and got me to work. When the truck shuts off, I turn the key off, turn forward as to start it the whole dash lights up but there’s no crank nothing but the lights do dim as if trying to start. When that first happen months ago I thought it was the starter so I ordered an oem but still did the same problem.

One owner vehicle, all the maintenance have been done by myself. It has 135k miles never had an issue until now. When the Tahoe shuts down, I have narrowed the problem to two relays the run/crank and pwr/trn relays. I either pull them out and reinsert and it fires up immediately or wait a couple of minutes and fires up but only for a couple of minutes.

Swap out the relay for another one, report back.

If this continues with the same issues after swapping the relay. Get the wiring diagram for the fuse block. I suspect its a component that is bad and not the relay or fuse.
