2008 Chevy tahoe 5.3l engine squealing. Engine has 244,000 miles, I replaced the lifters 3 years ago, using a Boost AFM disabler. Have a launch scanner, checked for codes, nothing. Checked belts and accessories on the front of the engine, nothing there. Purchased microphone set and sound is loudest at the rear of the engine around the #8 cyclinder. The sound is extremly loud, my wife can hear me coming down the street. Removed the strater and checked the fly wheel teeth and starter both look good. Removed the passenger side valve cover and checked the rockers, all tight. Ran engine with valve cover off, all lifters are operational. Removed valley cover and checked lifter contact with the cam shaft. Lifters looked good (the ones I can see 1,2,7,8), cam lobes are smooth. I'm in the process of pulling the engine becuase I am out of ideas, any help would be appriciated.

Check exhaust gaskets and couplings. If something is off by just the right amount of wrong (that's mine!),
exhaust can whistle through a hole that's audible for over 1/2 a mile.

I put microphones down the transmission and it is quiet. Slight squeal when i rev it up in park but definitly louder as the engine is required to produce torque e.g. up hills and accelerating. I plan to replace the torque converter while the engine is out but not sure if that's the issue. Was wondering if a bad bearing or something would cause the sound.
Engine is disassembled at the moment, maybe if I don't find anything and have to put it back together i will record
meh, really need to hear this noise. but generally the only thing that squeals is bolt on's i.e. ac pump which is on the right

Yes, first removed AC comp belt, then serpentine. Microphones indicated the loudest sound on the bottom right side under the #8 cylinder. Was quiet at the front and around the transmission. Thought maybe the starter was stuck but it and the flywheel looked good
Yep, first thing I did was remove AC belt, ran for a couple weeks like that and still had the sound. Ran the engine in the garage with serpentine belt off, still had the noise when reving engine

then possibly a vacuum leak or something in the transmission
if you have it apart inspect the gaskets closely
look along the intake (engine side and intake) with a flashlight and see if there is any sign of a gap or a pointed spot where it gets thin

starter drive in the flexplate comes to mind ?
This is a long shot, but is the transmission bellhousing tight to the engine? A friend's car once had that and there was enough flex to make the clutch/throwout squeal (yes, I know this is an automatic).
