So my Denali has JBL DSP something installed in the doors as far as I know they’re in the front doors but not sure about the four towards the back. Are those good for listening to metalcore/ post hardcore mainly 2000s metalcore bands. Is there anything I could do to give more power without installing a woofer

I don't think the 2007 has (ANC) active noise canceling but if it does there would be (2) small round screens right above the drivers seat in the headliner and a 2nd one in the passenger side headliner, there is also a 3rd mic if the system is equipped but don't recall the location.
IF it has ANC you can disconnect the mic's and the sound will brighten up a smidge, but that's about all you can do without adding a sub, etc
If it does not have ANC there will only be (1) screen above the drivers seat in the headliner and that one is the temperature sensor for hvac, leave it be.

I think the people before me had already done that because if I get a call and I’m plugged into aux no one can hear me I have to disconnect the phone. Which isn’t a big deal

the phone mic is different and the oem phone mic is in the upper middle console above the rear view mirror. you will see a tiny slotted grill and the mic in there.
it is not related to ANC. ANC is for outside noise cancellation. the system generates a negative sound to cover up the outside noise, blanking it out.
so for instance if you do have anc and decide the throw a sub in the back, when the sub makes sound the anc freaks out and generates too much feedback which calculates into massive hum noise in the radio. the fix is to disable ANC which a side benefit is the radio sounds better (in my opinion) I can tell the difference.
ANC cripples the radio a little bit because it is always making anti-noise

it works just bose headphones with battery powered noise canceling, when you switch it on you can hear the "hiss" which is what blanks the outside noise.

To my knowledge, there is no ANC in the 2007 Yukon Denali.

The ANC is only as good as the speakers themselves. If the speaker cannot produce it, the ANC can only do so much.

Are your front door speakers actually JBL speakers? JBL is a good brand of speaker, and it should be able to produce the sound that you want. However, the Denali did not come factory with JBL speakers (my XL came factory with Bose speakers), so if they were subsequently installed, you may not have enough power available to drive them effectively.

Check your RPO code sticker to see if you have a UQA code, which signifies a Bose factory audio system.

they are confirmed JBL. Even comes up on the little digital screen with DSP mode. I’ve taken the doors off to replace handles to find out they installed JBL. The speakers work fine with all honesty. Just may be a bit greedy ya know
