Alright guys this ones been driving me nuts
2007.5 yukon denali with the 6.2l when cold everything shifts fine when trans temp reaches above 120f from 2nd gear to 3rd is a high rpm 2-3 second pause before entering the entering 3rd

Ive verified its actually in 3rd with the manual selction once 3rd is engaged you can throttle down and pulls like any gear

Please give me some insight om really hoping its somthing in the valve body we just paid this car off by far the worste tahoe we have had

Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like a 2-3 flare once hot which is common when the 3-4 clutch pack starts to wear (4L60E) or 3-5-R drum is leaking through the welds at the drum's stator and clutch basket causing the 3-5-R clutch to slip/flare-shift/delay engagement in reverse (6L80).

Do you have a 4L60E or 6L80/90?

If that is the case would there be a reason it only does this in 3rd gear and not 5th and reverse?
