Well my passenger low went out after 4 months. Pulling the lamp, I found an unusual bulb, slightly wider and shorter than OEM H11. It also has a 2 prong plug vs. the socket on OEM. I tried putting in an H11 and a H16 fog HID kit, but neither worked out - the bulb has to be exactly the right size to project a usable pattern, and these didn't line up. The H11 OEM is on left while the aftermarket is on right. The bulb looked good, so I don't know if it was it or the housing that went out.

Not having time to trouble shoot, I ended up putting the OEM housings back on with some fresh silver star ultras which end up being much brighter than the projectors. Any suggestions for trouble shooting the housing while off truck? I already miss the look of the plasma tube (which work great still) even with better lighting. They make the truck look so much better...

Wonder if these headlights are able to be retrofitted with better projectors?

I still want to see a actual picture of the output and cutoff line. Noone who has these has produced one so far. One person said output is less than stock, which is disappointing, but im hoping as well they can be switched for better projectors

From @Texasdaddy
As for the light output - we shall see. Here is the pics on my garage from about the same spot, but it was almost dark in the stock picture, while sun was out when I shot the aftermarket.

@Texasdaddy thanks dude! The output seems ok, would like to see a night time shot outside, maybe looking down the road or something. But i think these will definitely be my next upgrade!

When I had the spider projectors in my 07 Denali, I swapped H1 HIDs in and they light output was much better than stock. I would still go with black flame if I was going to do it again though.

hmm might get a pair but retro them, i just like the optical tube gives it a updated look.
Agreed, kinda want a more updated look, but at least wanted to make sure the light output was the same as stock at least. If we can fit a better projector in there it would be great.

I never posted cut off pic bc projector needs to be turned slightly to show a straight cut off. I like them bc it gives the Tahoe an updated look. Doesn't compare to hid projector retrofit though.

Started a retrofit this weekend of these lights. Was not impressed with the light output. Will be installing Mini D2S 4.0 projectors. I was able to retain the
adjustment base of the factory projector. Will keep everyone updated on my progress.
