So i noticed yesterday coming home from work that my rpm tach almost seemed like it was at zero. Im like wth how is this possible maybe the the tach failed. I start driving and nope its perfectly fine. When im at ifle it hardly seems like it has any rpms car idles just the same as the day i got it just weird. Should i clean the throttle body maybe or is it something else that could cause that low reading.

You could put a scanner on it and see if it reports a different RPM; surely it will. Likely the stepper motor in the cluster has gone bad, very common on these.

Beat me to the scanner recommendation and the stepper motor problem. Man, it sucks getting old and slow.

You gotta up your game, old man!

PS I'm not that far behind you.... :(

Getting old is not a young man's game, for sure! It is not for the faint of heart!

Every time I work on my Z71 I feel a little bit more sore than the last time.
