As a few of you know, I now have a 2005 Yukon SLT 2WD. The 3rd brake light didn't work when I bought it, so I thought it might've been the 3rd brake light itself. Well I just got a new 3rd brake light and installed it and it still didn't work. I checked the fuse box but I couldn't find a fuse for it. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.

On my '04 there are several fuses in the in-cab driver's side fusebox. Open the driver's door and it's on the end of the dash. If yours is the same check the one boxed in red:

Also the wiring that goes from the body into the lift gate gets corroded and frays. If you don’t see anything obvious use a test light to see if you’re getting power.

My dad found the fuse last night and checked it and said it wasn't blown so when I get out of school today I'm gonna check to see if I'm getting voltage to the load itself and go from there

Found out the problem. When I was putting it in I didn't realize that I bent a prong in the connector. Straightened it out and the 3rd brake light worked perfect

" It takes a village to notice"........ Kidding..... But I never noticed, since only I drive the Yukon...

My 3rd brake light does not lite. I'll check that fuse ( shown in an earlier post)......
Someone said the fixture is not 'bulb replaceable'?
But to be sure is the light serviceable? Or do I have to finance a complete new 3rd light?

Silly up-date...... I am looking at the UT video.... It's answered my question.
