Hello. I have a Service Auto Ride message. I don’t know the specific problem but I understand this can be very expensive to replace. Also understand many people opt for an aftermarket standard shock kit that is passive and bypasses all the complex parts of the air system. This sounded like a good option. So I got quotes for the standard shock and the conversion kit installed. One was for $3100 for bilstein shocks and the other was for $2100 for Arnott. I was floored. Does this sound high. Heck. How much would it be to replace the autoride system with oem?

Why don’t you scan for the code before throwing parts at it? Could be a simple problem like a loose connector or broken air pump/leaking shock.

I will have them do that, but just thinking ahead about the price of the conversion. It just seems really expensive to me to do away with the autoride and go with standard shocks.

I have not seen replacement autoride shocks for this generation. ?
There are cheaper shocks forsure!

I maybe in the same boat.. My suspension feels a little loose, so even if no errors I might go to standard shocks eventually..
