I just replaced the oil pump in my Yukon and fired it up and oil pressure was good, after about the third time firing it up there was a high pitch squeal from the belt area. Anyone have any ideas why this would happen? I didn't have any noise prior to installing the oil pump, I also replaced belts.

Take both belts off the motor and start the motor. Any noise?

If no, install one belt and repeat. Any noise?

If yes, you've found the source area of your issue. Is the belt the correct belt part number? If yes, replace the belt Tensioner assembly.

If no noise after installing one belt, remove it and install the other belt. Any noise?
