2003 Yukon door trim removal

The wide trim on our yukon's doors are cracking, and looks terrible. I am talking about the wide trim that is chrome and plastic at the bottom 1/3 of the door. Does anyone know how this is attached? Can it be removed, and not replaced? The truck looks good besides this trim. Thanks in advance!

Held on by double-sided tape. Numerous ways to get it off. Fishing line, gloves, hair dryer, heat gun, Goo Gone, polish, then wax. Usually a combination of the aforementioned depending on what state it is in as you start to peel it off. Debadging and demolding is done a lot on TYF. Have a look at some of the other member rides. Mine has no moldings either.
