My wife drives a 2003 Tahoe. It has a little over 170 thousand miles on it. In the pass couple of months the fuel gauge has stopped working correctly. The indicator points down and will more a little when the tank is filled. The "Low Fuel" indicator light works. We set the trip meter on zero and drive between 300 and 320 miles between fill ups. The "Low Fuel" light and the slight movement of the indicator needle tells me that the fuel censer is working just that it's pointing in the wrong direction. I have been told that it could be the instrument cluster or the fuel censer or it could be the fuel gauge itself. I don't really think that it's the cluster because everything else works. I could be wrong. Gentlemen I'm wide open for answers. Thanks:popcorn:

When I first purchased our Tahoe (used) the fuel gauge would not work on occasion. Eventually the fuel pump died so I replaced it. It had a new sending unit/fuel level sensor and the fuel gauge has worked perfect ever since then...
