Hi. Strange problem with my Tahoe. Came home from a 60 miles drive tonight and the car was fine. Parked outside the garage and emptied some shopping before trying to start the car and pull inside. Car then just ignited and stopped within a short while. Central locking won't work from the remote and no interior lights works. I looked for fuses and can't find any blown and tried with both keys and remotes. Also disconnected the negative terminal from the battery for like 10 minutes but stil have the same problem. Anyone out there who had the same problem and can point me in a direction here? I have no clue where to look now. Tomorrow I will try to scann the car to see if I have any information that way but I stopped now as it is freezing cold here in northern Norway and I needed a brake.

Thanks and regards,
Steve

Start then stops almost immediately is a stereotypical symptom of PASSLOCK security system engaging. Is the security light flashing on the cluster?
Not flashing but comes on when ignition is on and then nalternate with the charge lamp.

Welcome from Colorado!

For starters - no pun intended - have that battery load-tested and see what the printout tells you. So it will crank and fire up but doesn't run very long?
Battery is good. The strange thing is that powerlock and interior lights also stopped working at the same time. No lights in the doors when i open the car eiher.

might need a battery or battery cables, the battery could have enough power for some lamps but not enough amps to make it start or operate other things that take some power. just something to consider (maybe put it on a charger if you can or have it checked to verify), check the positive cable, take it off and wire brush it and the battery terminal, clean ground connections reconnect and try again.
if it starts and then dies a second later, that is a separate issue.

What specific DTC is being set? If more than one, please post all.
The scanner just say cant communicate. I can see that there are dtc but can only remove them, not see the numbers. They or It comes back after two seconds after removing. I am struggeling with this and i might have the car on a flat bed and delivered to a garage.

I started my 04 and drove a mile and parked at the burger place. Come back out, turn the key and nothing! Then I notice no interior lights, nothing on the cluster too. Turned out to be the connections on the battery clamps. Tightened just enough to get home, then the engine was dying as I pulled in the driveway. Replaced the top-post-to-side adapter clamps I had the next day. That issue was taken care of for good.

I had a partial, but sometimes intermittent connection at the battery. That makes the truck unhappy.

Just trying to rule out the cheap and easy here...
You mentioned battery is good, but did you verify the cables are in good shape and all connections are clean and tight?

Anyone who can confirm that eBay # 292765994146 will fit between Sensor and BCM? Try to look for parts and thinking that the sensor by the key and the wire is the best place to start

Mine loosened up because I was not careful in tightening the cable bolts into the battery clamps. The lead strips out easily if over tightened... Slipping a toothpick in the threaded holes helped the bolts grip, but only for a few months. Then the cable connections loosened and began to cause the no-start and making the computer act wonky with the unsteady voltage (if already running, the engine would begin to sputter and spit).

New clamps were the cure.

I think we have a language barrier here. We need to clarify your exact symptom(s).

(1) What happens when you turn the key all the way forward to the engine crank position?
(2) Does engine start? If so then how long does it run?
(3) You say your interior lights are not working at all? Did they before?
(4) What is the voltage at the battery taken with a voltmeter with key off?

PASSLOCK should not have anything to do with your interior lights but a bad ignition switch or battery wire connections(both ends of the positive and negative cables) can.

And since you are so cold right now, I will trade you and you can come hang out here in the Midwest U.S. and I will gladly come over there and hangout with some Norwegian women! ;)

1. Without key security on at all time. When turning key it cranks ant try to start.
2. It starts and dies after a second or two.
3. Lights and powerlook worked as normal before and latest halv a hour before i
parked thre car .
4. 12.67V. I also use a 5 amp maintenance charger when working with the car.
12,67V it whitout charger and battery resting.

People had light and powerlock problems with the passlock failing and in adition i have the light on to tell me the passlock plays up. Have a PK3+ on my keys so i guess that is a Passkey 3+ system in my car.

You are welcome to Norway but its to cold to chase women, better to repair old US cars
