2002 Denali steering wheel upgrade to 2005. hard swap or not?

Looking for advice on swapping out my old Denali steering wheel to a 05-06 wheel with the controls built in the wheel as opposed to onside the wheel. Is it possible? If so, what about the steering wheel control wiring? Thx in advance
