ok so heres the first box trial.. this was about 3 hours before a comp when we finished up and I still had to screw in subs wire in the amp and wire the subs to the amp... this was about a month ago..

subs in!

took third that show with a measly 144.5 running only one battery and voltage drop like a motherf*cker also the subs were jumping out of the box...

I knew I needed to change some things so I rebuilt the box double baffled all around and we covered it in formica came out clean! pulled a 148.9 with this box with the amp only using half the board.. ( half the ground rails were busted and RCA inputs were messed up which i didnt know until after the competition..)

Awesome. Any pics of your amp/wiring set up. Mine is under 2nd row (like everyone else) but I'm always looking for new ideas.

amp is temporarily on a piece of MDF mounted to both seats to keep it in the cargo area im going to build a small box to contain the batteries then mount the amp on top or the rack soon it keeps me in a smaller class so i dont have to hang with the big dogs.. dont really have pics of that maybe later today I could take a couple. after I hit the 148.9 i realized my amp was f*cked bought it from a guy online and he lied about its condition.. got it rebuilt and the results were very good :)

damnit bro i think i just wasted the speakers on my laptop! J/k haha

you really need to add some damping material to the panels on your truck, it looks like that thing was about to come apart!

I have 2 layers on the whole cargo area and one layer on everything else... subs up port to the rear is just killing my roof/hatch.

I have a single 12" Type-R ported to 32Hz, and it get down to around 25Hz before it rolls off very quickly. I need more power and more cone area if I want to play around in the frequencies you do. :D

Have you tried the slowed version of "Hoods Run Down" by Lil Wyte that gets down to 12Hz? I think it was kangaroux from the caraudio.com forums that posted it. It steps down from 32, to 26, to 21, to 12Hz in the intro (numbers obtained from Audacity). If you're interested in it, PM me your email and I'll send it over. Even the non screwed version gets somewhere around 18Hz.

Nice system. I bet it tears up the lows.
I have my subsonic set on my RF amp to 28hz because I was afraid of going below tuning and abolishing the subs mechanical limits.
Maybe I should turn it off because the box is tuned to 33hz.

Modded how close is your port to the rear hatch? I believe mine is close enough that it helps lower the tuning by using the rear hatch as another port wall which extends it around 17 inches i think. and what equipment are you thinking of running hoe?

These Tahoes like to peak at 47hz if I remember correctly. Thats their resonant frequency... so if you target that, it will resonate with the truck as well making things very destructive. I rather have it a good bit lower where I can feel it in the chest and concrete.

I will be runing 4 Atomic APXX 18s or 4 RE 18s not sure which I will get for a good price. I may even get a T3 18. As far as amps, something with a true RMS of 2500-3000 on each 18.
