I have a 2001 Tahoe LS 4wd and my ABS and Brake light come on and off while I'm driving.
I replaced the ABS pump and module and the lights stay off sometimes for a long period then they just come back on.
Any suggestions???
1) did you do an ABS bleed after replacement. A scanner wont do it you need even a basic bidirectional tool
2) i have heard (cannot confirm). Slamming in brakes to activate ABS helps too (I dont recommend). You could get all 4 wheels off the ground and do the same to make sure ABS is working.
3) any speed sensor codes? Speed sensors work in tandem with ABS.
Unfortunately with ABS code readers dont do much. I invested in a decent but cheap (under $900 Autel that included subscription and glad I did, replaced all brake lines on Tahoe and had all kinds of drama after but tool paid for itself).
