200,000 miles

70% Highway/30% City.
Here is what I have replaced:
3 sets of tires
2 sets of pads
2 sets of rotors
new front and rear shocks
1 new battery
changed all the spark plugs two times (the back left one is a B***h!)
new A/C unit
Lots of Oil Changes
New front windshield (free in Florida)

I have been putting off changing the rear main seal and the cats.

When I saw your Tahoe, I though to myself, "Who would want a 2 door Tahoe?" Then I remembered that's all my father ever bought in cars and trucks. He bought a new car and a new truck every year before he got sick (cancer). And he bought these 25 foot long Cadillacs with 2 doors, quite a sight to see. And he almost had a heart attack when Cadillac quit making the large sedans with only 2 doors.

I had 230,000 on my '97 Suburban diesel when I sold it. I bought it with 165,000. I sold it to a friend of a friend, he still uses it for a daily driver but they did a full body swap, so my red Sub 2500 now has a blue Sub 1500 body on it!

Yea I love 2drs. That's all I really buy for personal vehicles. Might get a 4dr eventually but it would be a work truck. No family of my own yet so no real need to get more doors

I always loved K5 Blazers. The problem is it's very hard to find one that has survived without being almost completely rusted out! The '90's 2 door Tahoe's are fairly easy to find though, and the diesel was offered in them, but not in the 4 door Tahoe's.

I miss my 2dr but, since I do have a family, 2 kids and 3 dogs it was tough with my 2dr. I'm more than pleased with the addition of the 2 extra doors and the newer LS based motor. I still talk to the guy who bought my old Hoe, he's doing quite a bit of work to it. At least I know it went to a good home.

If my son wants to get rid of the 2010 I'm going to buy it back. I wouldn't care if I had to put a motor in it. The body looks like new! We recovered the drivers seat ourselves once and the interior is like brand new. Only thing other than normal maintenance was replacing the trans at 100,000 miles. I believe that having the dealer change the fluid shortly before the trans crapped out may have caused the failure. I was always told never to change the fluid on a high mileage vehicle if the trans is good, but I didn't believe it till it happened. We use them for combined NYC streets and highway use.

My ex father in law owned a trans shop before he retired and he would preach that all time. Never ever change the trans fluid or filter on a higher mileage trans that hasn't had it's fluid changed before or unknown if or when it was done. If it's shifting fine and not burnt, leave it alone and make sure it's topped off. He preached this to his customers. I remember he had a customer with a Dodge Ram that had close to 200K and insisted he wanted the trans flushed and fluid changed. He told him not to but customer insisted. Guy was back within a few weeks for a trans rebuild. I have never changed transmission fluid in any automatic that I've owned. My current 07 is pushing 144K, my prior 01Ford had 221K and my truck before that had 285K

I don't agree with not changing the tranny oil, but I never do a transmission flush. The flush is what all the shops want to sell you, they say it changes all the fluid rather than just some as with a normal drain. But, it sends all the crap through the system, and in my opinion flushing is a leading cause of failure.

Just do a drain, pan drop and clean, filter change, and you won't harm the transmission. Sure there are a few quarts of old oil that stay in the transmission, but that's not a problem.
