1999 2500 Suburban weird electronics

My'99 K2500 Suburban recently developed an odd glitch. The remote lock no longer works, when you press the power lock button on the door it activates the interior lights for as long as you hold it, sometimes stepping on the brake causes the interior lights to flash. I didn't see any obvious signs of shorts on my 1st inspection. A quick internet search has raised a couple of possible solutions, including a faulty body control module. Has anyone on here experienced a similar problem and if so, what was the fix?

I traced an electrical short to the driver side power seat. As soon as I unplugged it, all the problems went away.
