'15 Yukon XL SLT towing problems

I've owned multiple Yukons and Tahoes and have never experienced the towing problems we just had with our 2015 Yukon XL. It's bucking and surging and feels bouncy over ever small divot in the road. I switched hitches, but that did zero.

For context, this is a 3500 lb pop up trailer - way below max weight. I've towed it for years with other Yukons and Tahoes with zero issues.

Is this a suspension issue? It's really rough and bucks all over when first taking off.

were you using weight distribution hitch?

was trailer level?

sounds kind of like trailer is not level or some weight needs to be moved around a bit.
how may miles are on your XL Yuk?


you mention when first taking off, its all over the place... how does it do once you get going?
i know some people have complained about torque converter issues. that could add to your issues.
