I am in the process or converting my 97 Tahoe from a 10 bolt to a SF14 rear.

So far everything is going well, I ordered a new 9.5 Eaton Posi to replace the open carrier in the SF14 and a new set of 3.73 Motive gears.

I was going to get the drive shaft cut down but was told that if I replace the yoke with a "1350" the existing drive shaft would bolt up and be the proper length.

Is this true? if so where is the best place to find one?

One other questions, do I need to do something about the larger brakes on the SF14 or will the computers antilock unit handle it without changing anything else.

thanks for any and all responses!

If the drive shaft is too long you need to have it cut down, a ujoint isn't going to make it shorter. You will need a conversion joint, not a std 1350 joint.
