03 Yukon XL 5.3 Non Flex Fuel

My Yukon 5.3 stopped running the other day. It turns over will idle for a moment or two then stall. If I try to hit the gas pedal nothing happens and then it stalls. It acts like it is out of gas. It is not.

The Check Engine light is not on and have not checked for codes yets.

I am thinking fuel pump.

Any other suggestions for me?

Turned on the ignition and did not hear any noised coming from the fuel pump/tank area.

Is this a good indicator that is a bad fuel pump?
