01 Yukon Rear Speakers Not Working

I am having problems with my rear speakers in my 01 Yukon. The rear door speakers quit working on me about a month ago, and I can't figure it out. I checked all my wiring connections and they are all good. I checked the rear outputs coming out of the stereo and they're good as well. I also checked the wires where they come out of the factory wiring harness going towards the speakers and I have sound there as well. Also, the factory sub still works, but the rear pillar speakers don't work either. It seems like the problem is somewhere between the dash and the speakers. I am also sure that when I installed the deck that all the speakers were working. I have checked every fuse in both the engine bay fuse box and the one under the dash. My factory unit was not bose, but I don't know if I have any kind of factory amp in my 01 Yukon SLT. Any ideas what the problem could be? Thanks.

Time for aftermarket speakers!!!!! My stopped working and when I checked everything, in the end it was due to blown speakers. They seem to wear out after 8-10 years and it's also another excuse to spend more money!

I just ran into the same exact problem. I started screwin around with my center console today and while i was toyin with the harness for the center console audio controls i heard crackling and one of my door speakers started working. I was short on time so tomorrow im gonna take the harness out and check for loose connections in the plugs which seems to be an issue. Kyle try checking that out as well. Also if you have an ohm meter check it at the speakers and see if your getting the power you need. If you find anything out let me know and ill do the same.

my yukon doesnt have rear audio controls my problem ended up being a audio set up in the pioneer deck i put in. i got the rear pillar speakers to work but the back doors ended up being blown

If you originally had rear audio controls, the rear speaker wiring routes through those controls. It was designed this way so that if the rear passengers wanted to listen to something through headphones, the system would cut out the rear speakers. You should be able to jumper the rear wires though and get the system working again (Provided that the removed RAC is the issue)

its been awhile since i have been on here but got my problem figured out my passenger speaker was completely blown ( the cone wasn't attached to the coil) replaced front speakers back doors started to work again

rear door speakers are blown freakin 8 ohm too...stock deck....any suggestions on CHEAP speakers to replace them without un-balancing my setup or adding another amp and running wires?

Hey dgould, anyway you can tell me how to bypass the rear audio controls to get my rear speakers working again, I took the rear audio controls off and tossed that thing in the garbage can and didnt realize that I need it in order to get the speakers in the back working.
