So, driving the tahoe around the other night with the wife...leave a red light, get up to about 15mph and the truck falls on its face...It never stalled, never had a wicked drop in rpm, just a real noticeable loss of power for about 20 feet then back to normal...Tried for about 20 minutes to get it to do it again and nothing...Drove the truck this morning to go pick up parts for work and she did it on the way back...So, doesn't do it cold, only at running temp...and its sporadic...Im thinking she might be due for plugs/wires...maybe even a coil?...any other ideas for my weekend?

Check for codes. Could be lots of things, MAF sensor comes to mind. Try cleaning it as well as throttle body.

This may be fuel related, like have you bought fuel recently from not your usual source ? Fuel related problems such as yours normally are random, such as bad fuel (water), unlike ignition which usually requires replacement. JMHO and good luck.

So, not sure if anyone cares...but I figured it out. Cleaned MAF didn't help, removed and cleaned throttle body, didn't help. Filled up with Mobil gas and drove the wheels off her, didn't help. Changed fuel filter, didn't help. Whole time there were no codes mind you...what a pita. Finally, caught it in the act, had a buddy drive while we were leaving a local watering hole, there was a slight ticking before it did it, could hear from the pass side but not drivers...weird...any rate, get home, crack some more beers and watch it run with all the lights off, spark plug boot had a tiniest, little, crappy, hole in it...replaced the plug wire...bam, right at rain.

Good to hear you found the issue. At least it was an east quick fix.
