    Power Window Help

Thanks Scotty. Yes it’s a 2001. I used a test light and the blue and brown wires work coming out of the switch and the blue wire for the plug into the motor works but the brown doesn’t. Since I’m getting power out of the brown at the switch, I think it’s the plug/wire going to the plug. I just...

    Power Window Help

Needing some help determining the cause of why my driver window won’t roll up. I replaced the switch and regulator two years ago and the window worked until recently. Figured it had to be the motor and put a new one in and doesn’t work. New motor and old motor work when I plug them into rear...

Another leak... third times a charm?

This is perfect. I had gotten discouraged from some previous searches that didn't turn much up. Thanks!

    Rear Axle Leak

Will do. I did remove and replace the differential cover, but mentioned that in the first post on this thread. Rear differential is same gear ratio (3.42 I believe?) as stock. Has been doing fine since replacing ~7 years ago until noticing these leaks. I do have a small leak at the transfer case...

    Rear Axle Leak

I'm not familiar with the vent, where is that located? Will recheck it again today when I return home with a fresh degreasing and short drive. It's sitting currently, only drive it once a week in the current situation. Wife is a stay at home mom and she's not going many places with the pandemic...

    Rear Axle Leak

If you look at the pictures, you can see the very bottom underneath the cover isn't wet and around the edges of the cover doesn't have oil either. It appears to come right out where I pointed and drain down to the left and right of the bottom of the differential.

    Rear Axle Leak

It is an aftermarket rear end, original was shot about 7 years ago, just a few years after I bought it. Just as an FYI.

    Rear Axle Leak

It's on both sides though and it is definitely differential fluid. Went to put more in to get a feel for how much has leaked out and it took about 1/4 of a bottle... Far more than I expected. Since I've refilled, it seems to be leaking faster also.

    Rear Axle Leak

seems like it's been one thing after another with the Yukon lately... I'm dealing with a rear axle leak that I'm not sure how to fix. I recently removed and resealed the differential and the leak doesn't seem to be coming from there. It is a replaced rear axle. Pictures below showing where...

Another leak... third times a charm?

I'm not exactly sure what the outer door seals should look like. I don't have any tint and they look relatively good where the window rolls down. Not sure if there is an inner seal. But those look pretty good. Thanks for the recommendation. May try a deflector since Rocket Man doesn't have any...

Another leak... third times a charm?

That would be great to know if it's supposed to have one. The speakers I have are aftermarket, were put in by the previous owner. However, I've had the Yukon now for 10 years. I have had some leaking issues but I always attributed them to the sunroof. Sealed that up, then found a leak from under...

    Inside door to plastic glue/seal

Well the reason I ask specifically is because I'm having an issue where water is coming down the window and instead of draining out the bottom of the door, some is making it on the inside of the door where the plastic would be sealed and is getting into the interior. Made a post about this...

    Inside door to plastic glue/seal

can someone tell me what kind of sticky seal/glue goes inside the door attaching the plastic barrier to the door? Pic shoes the plastic I'm talking about. Can't find anything about what type of substance should be between the plastic and the door.

Another leak... third times a charm?

Now dealing with a third leak location and forum search hasn't turned anything up. I've taped my sunroof shut with flex seal tape then sealed a weld that had cracked leading water behind the firewall into the passenger floorboard. Now I still have a leak, though thankfully not as bad as the...

    Desperately need to find leak

Are you thinking of Ozium? I've done that twice now, once since I've stopped the major leaking from the sunroof (the sunroof was also leaking as it was soaking the roof). Hopefully since I've removed the foam pad at the front passenger floor board it will take care of it. If not, may do the...

    Desperately need to find leak

Hasn't this bought about silicone. Haven't used it before but will look into it. I'm sure that'd be far easier than welding. Will probably let the flex seal tape go for a while and recheck at the next oil change (just did it last weekend) to see how it's holding up. Now to take apart the dash...

    Desperately need to find leak

Right. I know the back is from the rear A/C. It's always seemed to be more than I would expect though. But the few mechanics I've seen has said it is normal. A year or two ago, though, I didn't realize the rear A/C was there but found out after getting up underneath. Pleasant surprise as I...

    Desperately need to find leak

Found the problem (see pic). Fairly obvious right under the cowl. Tested with a hose on the windshield and the water catches the back part of the crack. Sealed up with some flex seal tape for now. Will probably have my brother weld it back if possible, though he doesn't work with autos. Should...

    Desperately need to find leak

Thanks for the clarification. There's a lot of water but it does the same thing on the back rear when it is running as well. Have been told it's normal by a shop when I needed tie rods done and asked.

    Desperately need to find leak

Thanks for the responses. I actually hadn't ran the truck for 36 hours prior to the storm. Though I've wondered if something is going on with A/C as it puts off a lot of condensation/water under the truck when it's running. I figured it was heat and sound related but wanted to make sure...

    Desperately need to find leak

I've unclogged my sunroof drains. I've greased the seal. Now I've taped up the sunroof with flex seal. I've stripped out the carpet and carpet pad to treat for mold. Now we just had a strong rain and I've got a puddle on the passenger side. The tape on the sunroof is good. The leak appears to...

    Tranmission Fluid Replacement

Figured I would post a follow-up to this after I completed it to help whoever may read this in the future. I did just the pan drop, filter change, and refill since I'm basically at 150,000 miles and don't know if the fluid was changed at 100k. First, removing the exhaust/catalytic converter to...
