    BCM Programming... who and **?

When I use vm ware I just get a pop up to pass the device to the vm or not whenever I plug in a new device. Never had any issues. Good luck!

Leveled with bad tie rod angles

not an option. you'll need a proper lift with aftermarket steering knuckle and lower control arm relocation brackets. most of these lifts are at least 4" of lift. other solution is to de-crank your torsion bars and reduce the amount of lift you have in the front.

    BCM Programming... who and **?

I’ve actually got an 06 suburban 2500 with those extra controls. Feel free to try my vin I also have a VCXnano that can do tech2 emulation. It’s a little tricky to set them up and you probably want to use it in a VM (slightly sketchy Chinese software lol) but can’t beat it for $120 VXDIAG...

    2006 Suburban 2500

I've been obsessed with suburban 2500's for over 10 years and i didn't even know these had dual tanks LOL. Definitely seems like it was a bit of an afterthought with the tank being crammed above the spare tire. But with the MPG's these things get it was definitely needed. 27 vs 38 gallons is a...

    2006 Suburban 2500

I'm really considering doing this. But there's a couple issues with it. The original cats in this truck are effectively gutted, leaving none of the valuable recyclable catalyst material. So it only has worth as scrap metal. They could have been worth $400 each in a core return but since the...

    2006 Suburban 2500

Made some progress stripping out the back of this thing. There is thick dirt EVERYWHERE. Its going to be a real nightmare tearing down the rear AC for cleaning. But, i'll be happy i did with how dirty this thing is.. Also, for those who got stumped like me removing the passenger side 2nd row...

    2006 Suburban 2500

I went ahead and splurged on some nice JBA ceramic coated short tube headers! Passenger side original exhaust manifold has a stripped bolt where it bolts to the cats so i figured might as well. I had previously removed the passenger size exhaust manifold and found that the missing bolts were...

    2006 Suburban 2500

So this weekend was certainly... interesting.. to start, i went underneath the vehicle to remove some duct tape. Found this in the aux tank fuel filler hose I'm assuming the previous owner was using all this to block off the hose... just seemed really random.. But it looks like i'll need...

    2006 Suburban 2500

more updates! Got the aux fuel tank cleaned up and a new fuel sending unit in. There's two connections inside the fuel tank The small one is unfortunately missing a small fitting. It came with some extra hoses but it looks like this blue clip is 3/8 and i need a 5/16. Amazon should have...

    2006 Suburban 2500

Quick update: Made a fun 500+ mile drive today to pick up this! It's a little dirty, but this is the replacement auxiliary fuel tank! (the one that came in my truck was lovingly "deleted" by the previous owner for unknown reasons...) Tried to find a new one, but it was basically unavailable...

Lifted Caddy throws me around over bumps, uneven roads,

I told myself i wasn't going to do any big mods on this Tahoe. That lasted about 3 years until i couldn't ignore the itch any more. First i lowered the Tahoe with a 2/3 drop. Didn't like the ride so i lifted it to 5" on 33's. As much as i wish i would have done a cognito 7" with fox coilovers...

Lifted Caddy throws me around over bumps, uneven roads,

Do you have any pictures of where the rear track bar mounts to the axle? the bracket that re-locates that mount needs to be 1000% solid. If it can move, it will make the truck very unstable. I'm planning on having mine welded into place soon as the bolts keep getting loose. I've got a 5" RC (it...

Has anyone ever put a 12V Cummins in a 3rd Gen? I want to tackle the project.

a friend of mine did it in his 01 Tahoe. This is a massive job with tons of custom fabrication. if you don't own a shop and have years of experience in diesel engines and custom engine/drivetrain controllers, you're only option is super deep pockets and luck to find a shop that could do this...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Finally installed the 14 bolt i had picked up from the junk yard a while back. My truck came with the 10 bolt and 3.42 gears. 14 bolt has 4.10's which should really help with the 33" tires. 14 bolt came from an avalanche i believe. i believe these came factory in truck with 6.2L but you'll have...

    2006 Suburban 2500

Thanks for the comment! The 1500 Tahoes and Suburbans really do make great daily drivers. My daily is an 08 Tahoe and i will likely continue to daily it and leave the suburban for overlanding/weekend duties. I'm still partial to the GMT800s though. The nnbs style trucks just don't quite do it...

    2006 Suburban 2500

Well, i made a bit of an unfortunate discovery today. I found out why the fuel gauge isn't working... Took some time to look under the truck today to see if I could troubleshoot the fuel gauge issue. I ended up finding some extra hoses and some hacked up plugs and duct tape.. i also read that...

thanks for the reply! it has… a lot of CEL codes… I’ll list them out when I get home from work later today. So yeah I was pretty surprised it made the whole journey home as well. Also didn’t make it any easier that the fuel gauge is out (might be stepper motor but there’s a CEL for the fuel...

Here's the water temp sensor pigtail harness nice and new again (getting cozy with an exhaust manifold leak). Solder splices make sure the connection stays good and dry. Now more fun stuff. Check out these old spark plugs... Plugs installed were just a cluster. 6 crappy auto lites, an ac...

Fixing Door Lock Actuator Next up is a much easier one. The door lock actuator in the driver's side rear door went out. After tearing the door down, I saw just how dirty it was and figured I would just take it down all the way for cleaning. Before: And after: Now the actual door lock...

My guess is they clocked the exhaust wrong up to the muffler. I'll have to get under there and fix it myself. Here you can see the rubber isolator appears to be in the correct position. Here you can see the muffler and the welding they did. They installed the two magnaflow supplied pipes at...

Exhaust Upgrades: Round 1 So the first thing I had to do was change the exhaust. The previous owner installed some really hacked glasspacks.. In addition the smell of exhuast fumes from this thing is pretty bad. So the entire exhaust system needs attention. On my 2000 Tahoe, I had a cat...

    2006 Suburban 2500

Hello everyone! This will be the beginning of my build thread for my newly acquired fully loaded 2006 Suburban 2500. I just picked it up for $3750 (which is a steal for these things) and it definitely has its fair share of needed maintenance/TLC. I will try and document as much as possible. It...

    08 tahoe 2wd w/RC 7.5 lift not level

Just thought I would update people on what i ended up doing. I ended up getting some aftermarket springs from Eibach to replace the coil springs that came on the Rough Country Vertex coilovers. These coilovers are a 2.0" body but you need 3.0" springs as there is a gap between the shock body...

    08 tahoe 2wd w/RC 7.5 lift not level

So i just installed the 7.5 with the vertex coilovers on mine and i'm seeing a somewhat similar situation. (2008 2wd tahoe) I haven't measured the rears, but my fronts are sitting WAY high. I measured them at nearly 31" from center hub to fender in the front. I ordered the tool to lower them as...
