What do these codes mean and how do I fix it?

Guys,

My check engine light is on on my 2015 Tahoe so I had my local parts store scan my car and I got the following codes:

What defect are these describing? How do I fix this? How can I get the check engine light off? Thanks for any help you can give.

that indicates a small vacuum leak, if yours still has the gas cap, you can try a new cap or I have rolled the dice and have it be the vent valve solenoid up by the engine..
this code can be tricky

Ok thanks. What if I just disconnect the battery and clear the code is it possible it won’t come back?

If it's intermittent or something like a gas cap that isn't right, then sure move ahead and clear them. If there's a repeat issue, it'll let you know. As @Doubeleive stated, these can be tricky, but he listed the most common failure points, both of which are easy to fix.

the code has set 6 times, so pretty unlikely it is just going to go away...... all disconnecting the battery does is make it disappear for a minute
normally if the fix is not one of the 2 I already noted then it's usually the most cost effective approach is to just shot gun it.
vent solenoid (vent valve)
purge solenoid (purge valve)
canister
I recommend only using oem parts for these. aftermarket ones tend to fail in a short period
total parts cost is usually just under $200, presuming you shop around online, dealer or parts store is going to be more.

if you take it to a shop there going to charge you a diagnostic fee and then tell you it's one of the above. so :shrug:

Thanks looked up some videos on how to fix this. Looks pretty easy. I already ordered the vapor canister vent solenoid from parts geek.

Ok thx. Ordered the solenoid before I saw the above about OEM parts. If this fixes it and then fails I’ll know to get an OEM next time.

You mentioned gas cap. What about the gas cap is an issue? Mine is tethered which I like (keeps me from forgetting it at a gas station lol) but if it needs to be replaced then I can. If I order an OEM cap will it be tethered? To install a new tethered cap is it a big job? I’m not with the car and can’t remember how it’s tethered.

well the tether is usually one of two things
either it is a plastic T thru a hole, in which case you can just cut the old one off and stick the new one in and your done.
if it is a clip, then you can pry the clip off with a small flathead screw driver, then put the clip back on with the new cap.
the new cap will come with a new tether. presuming you get a oem one.
both of our k2's are capless, so not sure what type they used on the 2015, if it is like my 2012 you can just cut it off and stick the new one in

It wouldn't hurt to clean the fill tube's sealing surface when you change the cap. Maybe use a little sil-glyde or other lubricant on the o-ring or the fill tube.

I thought all K2XX platforms were gascap-less? Were the earlier years different?

ya they changed them around 2016 I think, probably around the same time gm lost the carb credits for e85, some of the 2015/2016 are "flex fuel", maybe some later years it's very sporatic on the charts found online
