The warning says you might brick it, but I haven't heard of that happening yet.
I have hit REP mode, reprogammed back to stock..
Have heard smaller changes may work without REP mode, but I'd always worry about it without knowing what parameters should align..
(I suspect you may need to use a different TB along with program..)

Would be sweet to have a drive by cable 6.2 and full manual valve body 6l80

When I'm driving in North Carolina hills with cruise set on 60, the 4l60 would sometimes have to downshift all the way down to 2nd gear to pull a hill - and the engine would be screaming at 4400 rpm or something... but with the 6l80 there's 5th, and 4th, and 3rd - so it just seems like it always has a reasonable gear ratio for any rpm for any condition...
You can also click the trailer mode button to make it hold lower gears longer and reduce shifting easy-peazy

I'm probably a minority, because I have never been able to see any lag or anything comparing the DBW vs DBC, but this is on the GMT800 series with the 4L80e on just driving around town and commuting. On that generation, you can always convert/revert back to DBC, at least on some of the ECUs that have both drivers. It was common with the guys doing drag racing were all little bit helps ETs.
