Having the same issue and did not find too much info on this. I pulled off the motor on mine and disconnected the board and the brackets swung completely free. In my case it definitely was not the brackets or any binding. I plugged the motor back in while still disconnected to the bracket and it barely moved when opening and closing the door which means it was definitely toast.
For 90 bucks on Amazon and really just 4 screws you can replace the motor in a half and hour. Also you can remove the motor to see if the brackets are bound or it is the motor.
There are 2 torx screws holding the plastic guard, once off then three alen key bolts holding the motor and one 5/16 bolt that binds the motor shaft to the assembly. Once removed you can lightly tap the motor out with a hammer.
They sell the full assembly or just the motor and in my opinion it's much easier to just swap the motor unless necessary.
