3/4 drop on 24s & towing

I’ve had the drop on the truck for about 6 months now! After a day or two of trimming fender wells and what not she don’t rub in the rear and the front rubs on good size dips Anyone who says they don’t rub at all with 24s and 30mm offset on 295s is lying lol

Installed the airlift helper bag bladders in the rear springs and they worked great for a full house of 8 people untill I hooked up my car trailer with a Chevy Cruze on it and 1 of the bags popped! I’m not to sure what happened but I don’t think I want to put the same ones back in and hope for different results ‍.

kinda thinking of doing the auto level deal with shorter air shocks what’s everyone’s opinion on it and pics of towing while lowered?

which airlift bags did you have installed?

were you able to determine if something was rubbing or pierced the bag?
or maybe it was just bad QC from manufacturer... shrug. did you call airlift, by chance?

it shouldnt have popped w/ that light of a load

Word. Mine rubbed liked a MF in the rear. I had to trim out a ton of inner fender to make it clear.

Mines lower than yours.

Mine is very similar... Granted only a 4" drop in the rear, but 3.5 in the front. I have no rub in the rear, but quite a bit up front when I am near full lock on left turns. Strangely enough though, I don't rub much at all on right turns...

Tire width plays a big role in whether or not you have rubbing.

My 4/6 Burb had zero rubbing in the rear and only minor rubbing in the front running 285/40/22 tires on my 9.5" wide 30mm offset wheels.

Then I installed 305/40/22s and they rubbed everywhere, to the point that I ended up lifting the truck 2" all the way around to get rid of the rub.

man im 3.5" up front with 4" in rear and its still a little higher in the back than the front. does your truck sit lower in the back than the front? what size wheels you on for no rub at all in the rear? lol sorry man i have a hard time believing you have zero rub with a 5" drop unless your on 20s or smaller?


so whats everyone do about towing? auto level or helper bags?

295/35/24 tires.
Belltech adjustable coils up front lowered all the way down to 3 inches
NorCal SS rear Belltech Springs that brings it down to 5 inches

no rub at all in the rear.

Well after looking at your pics I’m clearly lower than you and I only have 4” springs lol soooo ‍

I’ll snap a photo tomorrow with a measuring tape. I don’t know what else to tell ya my guy. I know I don’t rub at all in the rear.
