Yeah I usually don’t like the bucking of traction control.
Thee traction control on your Tahoe is more sophisticated than on older vehicles. Many times no won't even know it's working, when it actually is! You might play with it a bit and try to do a "brake stand" with it on (lots of luck) and then turn it off and try it. Personally I only drive with the traction control on when I am in a) two wheel drive and on wet pavement, helps keep from "losing it" in hard acceleration on a highway entrance ramp). b) 4 wheel drive and on ice (not snow). Most of the time I prefer things "real".

This. I keep mine on when its wet out but thats about it. Otherwise I prefer to make the vehicle do what I want it to do and it not hesitate or cut me back. I would really like to easily disable stabilitrak at all timed rather than just under a certain speed. Having it come one when trying to whip around is annoying.

That’s good to know. I can see where you would want to turn off the traction control in certain situations.

I also have the G80. Do most Tahoe’s have this option? I realize some may Not like the unpredictability of this since it is automatically engage but I glad I have the added traction if I need it.
