Questions about bypassing AFM / any risks?

It absolutely affects the test, at least in my case it did. Something about the readiness monitors. If interested, please see the related discussion on this here:

Maybe different cars - mine is 2019 Yukon Denali
Maybe different Range - mine is V8.6r1

I just went out to the garage, unplugged the Range device and used my code reader to see if anything shows up...nothing - no codes, no CEL and all monitors ready. I have 5500 miles on the car and the device is plugged in 24/7, in fact today is the first time I removed it since April.

The discussions you linked have a lot of "I believe" statements

Could be. Next year I will pull it out a week in advance and see what happens. Could be the type of testing this state does too. ****** strict rules around here I hate it.
