Hey everyone, 04 Denali with crappy headlight output.

Recently purchased some LED's bulbs off Amazon that had good reviews but once I installed them they really made no difference other than the color of the light...I have a hard time at night seeing everything due to these bulbs.

Curious as to what everyone is running in their trucks. I am not interested in doing a retro fit though. I am sure that works outstanding and puts out a lot of light, but I am wondering what brand and type of bulb would be best without all that extra work.

Thanks!

I use JDM Astar LEDs inside and outside of my truck, and I am happy with them. The folks at JDM Astar will work with you to get the LED that meets your needs and budget.

Other folks on this Forum will chime in with their LED conversions, along with their opinions on the results.

Good luck on your search and conversion.

I agree, trying to find a solution for my 04 Denali. Right now it seems like my headlights are worse than my 04 Wrangler and that’s bad.

I have these in mine. They're a tight fit and you need to take the mounting bracket off the back to get 'em in there, but they do fit. They're adjustable and take some adjustments to get them aligned appropriately in the housing, but they're bright as hell. Between these on my high/low beam, and the 6hi mod, I have better lighting than a lot of my buddies with light bars

Little disclaimer, these seem to be out of production. YMMV on availability

How dirty/clouded are the housings you are putting the bulbs in? What is the, for lack of a better way to put this, "candle power" of the bulbs you purchased and are there more powerful LED bulbs that you passed on?

Adding a little asterisk here

Be mindful of china special. They over rate / inflate their ratings. Headlights aren't special in this regard, it's across the board *cough* 8000w amp that takes 10ga wire for $49.95

And of note, lumens will be the rating you're looking for, as it refers to overall light output. Candlepower is output at distance i.e. how focused the beam is. That's why something like a 10 million candlepower spotlight really isn't all to bright. It's just because the beam is so narrow and only lights a small area at 300ft that makes it 'bright'
